Has it really been a year?! Sweet little Nicholas turns one today! Since Daddy’s out of town we’ll have a belated birthday party.
Whenever someone asks how old he is I say, “He is almost one but he thinks he’s ten!” There is NOTHING this child won’t try. He never seems to mind when his attempts at walking, climbing or wrestling one of his brothers aren’t quite so successful—he just loves pushing the envelope on what he can do.
I’ve decided Nicholas only has one disposition—he is simply happy ALL the time. If he’s not grinning at you he is laughing hysterically. This child is the epitome of a positive attitude.
Happy Birthday Baby Nicholas! You are the best surprise God ever gave us!

Your kids just have a way of making me cry....over and over! He is wonderful! I cannot believe it's been a whole year. Wow, what fun I had just waiting to find out what name you would pick, hehe.

He is too cute! I pray that he would love the Lord His God with all his mind, heart, soul and strength all of His days. That He would be passionate in his pursuit of Him and that His Word would be hidden in his heart.

Yes, thank God for surprises...we are so grateful for our little "surprise" too and she isn't so little anymore...almost 3.

Beth - this boy looks to me like a baby doll. How can his skin be so pure and his cheeks so rosy and his eyes so big and blue? I think I would just gobble him up he's so stinkin' roly poly and sweet in those pics. How is it that Ashley skipped the red hair and fair skin? And you said that Nicholas was a surprise?
