A Majestic Display

Yesterday we were driving home from school. Though it was sunny and bright, off in the distance I could see the sky was quite gray.

Within minutes we drove out of the sunshine and into a massive thunderstorm. All of sudden a huge streak of lightning lit up the sky in front of us, followed by a loud boom. We jumped a bit and then laughed at the unexpected and sudden change in the weather.

From the back of the van I heard Cole exclaim, "Mom, did you see that?! God is doing fireworks!"

my kids marvel at thunderstorms too...well, marvel might not be their choice of words. but they are always amazed by them and wonder if God is upset about something...quite possibly He is, but even His disappointment He sends us something beautiful- sweet, washing pure, rain.

I love how kids explain thunder and lightning. Whenever it thunders, Brooklyn rolls her eyes and says "When will God be done bowling? I am trying to read my book!" Guess the tournament season isn't over yet. Very cute!

So wonderful that our kids can know it such a tender age that God IS the creator of ALL of nature.

I just love that Cole. Have I told you how happy it makes me that you are back blogging about your children? It always blesses my day.
