Renaming Nicholas

Cole and Nicholas

You might recall the difficulty we had in coming up with a name for Nicholas. Cole thinks it is still a work in progress and has renamed his brother several times. A couple of weeks ago he was calling him “Fuzzy Wuzzy.” After that wore off he came up with “Bean Bag.”

Today he told me we should name him “Colie.” Since we often call Cole by this nickname I asked him why. He replied, “So we can have TWO Colies!”

Cole cracks me up! He has more personality in his little finger than I have ever had!

I think I am good on plants right now...still trying to find homes for all the new ones. THank you, though!

I kinda like 'Fuzzy Wuzzy!' Can we call Nicholas that? :)

I am partial to Nicholas! Isn't it funny how you can't really name your kids until you meet them? We had tons of names picked and then we saw Nic and we knew that was it. I also thought that we'd "re-use" some of the ideas from him when we had another boy. Nope...they all were put to rest.

He cracks me up. I just saw Amy Yorke Vu the other day and she said that when she was pregnant with her third and told the two girls that the baby was going to be a boy... her 3 year old was VERY ANGRY. She evidently wanted a sister. So when Amy asked her what they should name the baby, her daughter said... "Angry!" I don't think they went with that. : )

When Caden was born Isabel was four and completely enthralled with the Chronicles of Narnia. I told her the baby's name and she refused to acknowledge it for a couple of weeks. His name would be 'Pederson' like Peter in the books. People would constantly ask her what his name was just to hear her say it. After a few weeks she just stopped. I think she got bored with the attention. I love how little ones think.

Trust me, there is only one Colie, haha.
Did Alicia ever tell you that Lindsey called her "Nayna-rayka=boodie"?(Who knows why, she was 2 years old at the time) She named her that as a baby and it was shortened to NayNay which we all called her for a long time. It later changed to Lee. Be careful what you let Colie pick :)
