No one likes bedtime around here (except for Nicholas) and our four year old does everything he can think of to try and avoid it.A couple of nights ago, about 30 minutes after we put him to bed, Cole shuffled out to the living room with his little Buzz Lightyear (which he takes absolutely everywhere these days). He announced to me that Buzz was sooooo excited because he heard Dad turn on the playoffs . . . and Cole had promised Buzz he could watch the playoffs if Dad did.
Cole then proceeded to plop himself down on the sofa next to his dad to watch the game . . . as if this were the norm. Of course, we had to break it to him that though Buzz was certainly welcome to stay and watch the game, he, Cole, would actually have to go back to bed since it was a school night.
Poor Buzz . . . he ended up just going back to bed with Cole.

being a super hero does have it's advantages...
i would have caved big time. i'm not so good when they give me the 'look' especially when their little enough to fall asleep on the sofa and don't have school the next day.
I am still giggling, that is too cute... Last night about an hour after going to bed, Jayden wandered into my room wearing Lightening McQueen jammies and carrying Sally AND sporting the cheesy "I'm getting away with something smile". Glad to hear similar things happen in NC that happen in TX.
I am still laughing. They will try anything to get out of bedtime!! Too cute!!!

That photo is just too cute. In this household the children beg for more hours to just sleeeeeeep. It seems that even a super hero would not be able to help get all the homework done and other resposibilities taken care of in a day for Jen and Alicia. Wow, this college/work life is hard stuff!

Oh how funny is this?! That is something that Cooper would have done and then I would have daddy and Cooper begging to stay up and watch the game. What a cutie? Doesn't your heart just break when they realize that you won? I know mine does.
