In Case You Missed It

Last week CNN aired a three night documentary entitled, "God's Warriors."
These are the excepts highlighting Teen Mania—incredible!

Yes, incredible Beth! Dave and I sat glued to both videos.

Of course we have seen the work first hand of Battlecry as it shaped Alicia's life and then lead her to Teen Mania. Today as we live with a child lost and searching for a purpose in her life we can only say to Ron and David to keep up the fight and we praise God for all their efforts each and every day.

John and I stayed up and watched the whole SIX hour special...until 2 am!! We were SO hurting the whole next day. Getting too old to do that!
We were so excited for TM! Ron did an amazing job answering all her questions and the young intern did a great job too! Pretty amazing...

it was just by happenstance (well, nothing is by happenstance), but totally out of character for chad and i to both be watching televsion...and NEVER CNN. we saw the last installment. as i was watching i had no idea that it was about teen mania. once i learned that i was glued to the television.

i have to say that in the face of the 'opposition' how can anyone watch something like that and NOT get it? not get that what ron is doing is OF GOD...and it worth fighting for? chad and i were blessed to have just seen it.

you are blessed to be part of it

Wow -- what's the vibe at TM about how CNN handled the report?

Most everyone agrees it was extremely positive and well done. If you happened to see one of the trailers advertising it before it aired, many of us feared Ron would be equated with Osama Bin Laden! Also, there was recently a major hit peice by Rolling Stones . . . so we were all kind of braced for the worse.

Jon made an insightful comment. It could be that CNN thinks they were dogging us . . . because we look so foreign to the world. But in actuality, we think they portrayed us accurately and we want people to see who we really are.

On a side note, the last girl they showed, Jodi, is an amazing, beautiful girl—so full of God. She ran into Katie at the grocery over the week-end. Talking about the moment, she said the reporter teared up as they were talking. I thought so from the video. How CAN you encounter something as powerful as that and not be affected?
