The Negotiator

Chuck E. Cheese’s is overpriced and the food is less than mediocre . . . but my kid’s love it.

So a few days ago when the kids were out of school for fall break and since David had the day off, we decided to take them to Chuck E. Cheese’s for lunch. My sister and her daughter met us there.

After buying a boatload of pizza and tokens, my sister and I noticed we could have used a coupon and DOUBLED the amount of tokens being devoured by all the games and rides our kids were drawn to.

Knowing if anyone could make it happen—David could. Would he be able to turn that coupon into coveted tokens?

After a little arm twisting, David approached the manager with, “I have been nominated to humiliate myself. Can we cash in this coupon we forgot to use earlier?”

The manager agreed it was worth the humiliation and doubled our kids’ fun. Gotta love a dad who is willing to negotiate!

yes, they're my managers for Mr.Jimmy's company. It is definitely a blessing to be here! I hope you will start getting more rest soon! have you had anyone come and help watch him at night so you can get some rest? maybe even just for one night every week or something? wish I could help.

What fun! Way to go on getting double the tokens--I guess it never hurts to ask, huh? It looks like Cole was enjoying himself! :)

Beth -
Question for you. Do you and Dave go to Church on the Rock? I remember a bunch of interns used to go there. Are they still going strong and still doing Life Challenge?

One other question - what about CCF? That was my church. :) Does Paul Baloche still lead worship there?

Thanks for your encouragement! I went to the doctor and had the ultra sound, he said that he would like to induce very very early monday morning...so it looks like thats the plan unless he decides to come sooner. :)

I am 8 days past my due date today and I feel soooo ready for this!

Although He said that I have a higher chance of having to have a C-section because of how far I am past my due date, the baby has grown alot and he isnt sure exactly how things will go...I know that the LORD is GOD and HE is in control.

I saw him moving on the ultra sound, I felt like I was going to cry, it struck my heart so deeply. I saw his little fingers moving... I am so excited to be a mom! I have wanted to be a mom my whole life!

Thanks for your encouragement and your prayers! Please keep me in your prayers Sunday night/Monday!

I'll let you know how things go... and post some pictures too.

Thanks you so much! Have a blessed day today! I am praying for you!

I knew I liked that David Hasz! What a great guy. I heard Alicia emailed him and he wrote back. She was lonesome for all of you, but so happy to be in touch with Dave if even for a brief moment.

Hi Beth, thanks for your note. There is an easy way you can send an online note to Daniel in Iraq and I think it would really encourage him. Please email me so I can email you the link and his address. I've really enjoyed hearing about you and your family. Your kids are sure beautiful. What a gift from God. Best - RG

Thanks for the tip on keeping warm. I'm sure if my grandmother were still alive she would have been the first to have suggested the same :) Oh, and regarding your precious roses, just remember that someday Cole will be handing those flowers to another woman in his life and you will cherish the memory of the day he picked your four blossoms "just for you, Mommy".

I had to go to pucky cheese, I mean, Chucky Cheese the other day for a birthday party. It was actually not too bad. It was a lot cleaner than it used to be and the pizza was actually really good. They've stepped it up since Incredible Pizza has come to town. It doesn't smell like urine anymore!
(And we would LOVE to go to SDC with you guys sometime!! How fun!)
