Dinnertime Details

Cole and Nicholas
Originally uploaded by °Beth.
Over the weekend we purchased a really great highchair. By the time you get to child number four, you kind of figure out what’s great and what’s not so great in baby paraphernalia. I won’t bore you with my lists of what works and what doesn’t, but suffice it to say—I LOVE this highchair.

Even though Nicholas is only three months old, he can sit in it safely and even join us at the dinner table . . . which he did last night for the very first time. While David was saying grace, Cole interrupted quite loudly with, “Hey Guys!!”

Me: “Cole, what is it? We’re praying.”

Cole: “Nicholas didn’t close his eyes!”

really? he can sit in the highchair? I haven't tried Isabelle in our highchair...I didn't know when one was supposed to do that?? I guess I'll have to try it! There really should be a manual or a hotline or something for babies!

So fun...Cole sounds hilarious! wish I could get to know him now again!

Looks like you found a nice one! I agree...the highchair is an important one!

I love that Cole is your "watchdog!" That is the role Henry plays too! He's always the first to tell us if Jonah opens his eyes or unfolds his hands during prayer!

I can't believe that Nicholas is big enough for high chair! Slow down baby! We haven't been albe to enjoy the baby stage yet! I love Cole's comments...too cute!

That is one cute baby.

Beth you should TOTALLY give a list of good and bad baby products! Do you know how many of your readers would benefit from that??

Like - wipe warmers? Pacifier clip-ons, etc.

That Cole is a cutie!

We too invested in a nice high chair with Tori and a team actually brought it over for us from the States. Remember Skyler's h.c? It was Ashley's cute white wooden one. Of course it matched my kitchen but hard to clean...etc. You definitely live and learn.

Wow he already is in a high chair? When do babies start eating real food? Does it vary from baby to baby? I am emailing you soon :)

SO funny! We usually have at least one kid with their eyes open or food in their mouth(s) while we are praying...

I agree...give us the good and the not so good list!!

I wish I could take credit for those 10 lbs... I think it happened one time when I was sick or something... seems I can't lose any more!!

Is Wednesday (I guess that's tomorrow!) morning okay to stop by? I will take Kevin to work around 8, is that too early??

What a treat, a picture of Nicholas! He is getting so big. The boys are soooo cute! I saw a little baby boy recently and thought about you. He was his mom's fourth child, too. He was the same age as Nicholas and a real cutie. It made me think about you and your little family. Once again I'm reminded of all the times Alicia talked about how great your kids are!

Heeeeyyyy!! So how did COLE know that Nicholas wasn't closing his eyes--huh? Oh they are adorable!!

Number four grows up a whole lot faster--so watch out for that. I can't believe its been 3 months since you had a baby. Of course, in blogging world I never really imagined that you were ever pregnant--since you wouldn't post any pictures!!!

Btw, whatever happened to the photo shoot you were supposed to have someone take of you and then post for us to see??? Hmmm?

The little guy I sit for has a chair very much like yours. I love it. I love it so much that if I ever have children of my own I will get one just like it.

P.S. I think Cole is one of the cutest little boys I've never had the chance to meet.

he is darling and I DIDN'T know you already had him - for some reason I kept thinking he was " coming" - of course, I'm the newcomer, so still abit out of it - but I love hearing everything.
