A million times a day God gives reminders my life is rich beyond the counting. If such moments are ignored because life is too busy or frazzled, I am the poorer for it. Life calls for reflection.

Nighttime Moments
Cole: Dad, I'm scared of the dark. Will you turn on the light?
David: Cole, you don't have to be afraid. Jesus is with you.
Cole: I know, Dad . . . but He doesn't turn on the light!
That is PRECIOUS! It actually reminds me of a joke my dad used to tell, about a little boy whose mom asked him to hand her the broom, which was outside the kitchen door. When the little boy complained that he was too afraid, his mom said, "Don't be afraid...Jesus is out there!" So the little boy poked his head out the door and said, "Jesus, if you're out there, would you hand me the broom?" :)
Your kids say the funniest things! I do wish we lived closer, I know our two little ones would have fun together.
Congratulations on walking, Nicholas!! I bet it's nice having Ashley, Jonathan, and Cole to help chase him around! These little guys can keep mama's hopping!
Too cute. Reminds me of when I was little and afraid of the dark. My Dad told me the same thing so when I woudl wake up I would cry out softly, "Jesus"..still afraid a bit louder "Jesus" now riddled with fear screaming, "Daddy". "He" used a donkey I guess he can use lights and Daddys! :-)
Oh man! i miss ya'll so much. i miss those times where Cole would shock you with some Quick Wit. Please tell the kids that i miss them tremendously. i hope you are doing well. i hope to see ya'll in October for the Alumni Weekend.
HI Beth! I have been looking for your phone number this morning, but I can't find the email that you sent that had your new number! I wanted to call and tell you how excited I am about Sunday!!!! Sorry to leave this on your blog, but it's the only contact info I have for your right now. I need to be better organized :-) Can't wait to see you!!!
How great! Out of the mouth of babes as they say! My daughter does not like the dark either when she first goes to bed. I let her have a small flashlight and she falls asleep with it and then I go back in there and turn it off. I just love it!
too stinkin funny and honest! Thank you so much for your encouragement last week! You really blessed me! :) God also really met me in a powerful way this weekend at Pink Impact, our ladies retreat. He's so good! :) Bless you Beth!
