It’s so hard for me to believe Jonathan is nine today. Where have the years gone?
Jonathan is such a sweet and lovable kind of guy—always so conscientious about the needs and feelings of others. He can usually be found devouring a book, beating someone in Scrabble, working on crafts or doing a puzzle.
I could go on and on about how really, truly great he is . . . but THIS is why I refrain.
This picture is of him and his new birthday puppy, Cody Jack.
Happy Birthday, Jonathan! You make my heart so happy and I'm abundantly blessed to be your mom!
A million times a day God gives reminders my life is rich beyond the counting. If such moments are ignored because life is too busy or frazzled, I am the poorer for it. Life calls for reflection.

Ditto To Lauren Green
Okay, this week has been crazy, leaving me no time to blog . . . so I’m just getting around to expressing my SHEER and UTTER ANGER at Kathy Griffin’s remarks during the Emmy Awards last weekend.
Incase you haven’t yet seen Lauren Green’s response to Ms. Griffin on her blog, please check it out. Lauren is such a great and thoughtful writer and her words say so well what I feel.

Celebrating 40
On Sunday Kelly and I (with Jordan and Nicholas in tow) flew to Colorado to help Michelle celebrate the big 40 . . . which is today!
We've been catching up on each others' lives, reminiscing on old times, leaving all the kids with Rod, eating great food, getting manicures, pedicures, massages and even make-overs at the Bobbi Brown counter. Serious celebrating is due when 40 rolls around.
But all things must come to an end and it's rather sad we have to leave tomorrow. I am having major withdraws from David, Ashley, Jonathan and Cole . . . so I'm also looking forward to heading back to Texas. Besides, Michelle needs to pack for her upcoming trip to . . . ?
Happy Birthday Michelle! 40 sure looks great on you.
