A million times a day God gives reminders my life is rich beyond the counting. If such moments are ignored because life is too busy or frazzled, I am the poorer for it. Life calls for reflection.

I Remember
It just so happened I was among the many at his last and largest concert at Market Square arena in 1982. I remember the day of his death like it was yesterday—I was a teenager.
My youth group and I had just gotten back to our little church following a few nights on a retreat. When I walked in several of my peers were openly crying.
On learning that Keith Green had died earlier that day in a plane crash, I too felt the world’s loss.
A few weeks ago was the 25 year anniversary of his death. Many articles were written highlighting the event—if you’re an avid fan like me, I think you’ll find this interesting.
He left a lasting impact on so many lives including mine. Thank you Keith Green. Your “No Compromise” message still hits home today!

Amazing that you should be sitting smack dab in Keith Green territory today. We were fans long ago as well. His words will live on and on.
My mom was a HUGE Keith Green fan...she was newly saved during his ministry. So I grew up listening to his music. We even stopped by to tour the last Days campus after my mission trip with YWAM (early '80's). This article was very interesting. Thanks for sharing it. - Kelly
Thanks so much for posting this. I love the passion in his eyes. It's almost as if watching this is a glimpse of what worship is happening in heaven. My fondest memories growing up were when I would wake up late at night. I'd stumble into the living room. My mom would have the lights low and Keith Green (or Silverwind) playing and she's let me stay up to dance and worship with her. His worship is so powerful. Thank you for the reminder of what one life sold out to the Father can do. :) Bless you!
Beth, I was there too! I had never been to one of his concerts before. It was truly amazing and awesome. Who would guess that the tiny baby I was carrying at that concert would some day walk the Teen Mania campus where Keith and his wife and children walked? Isn't it a small world?

I happened upon this thread from at link at blews.blogspot.com.
I remember seeing Keith Green at the former Market Square Arena in Indianapolis back in 1982. It was one of his largest events, and also his last (if I'm not mistaken).
The presence of God filled the space of some 15,000 people. I was a young African American minister that was completely unfamiliar with this type of ministry. I was introduced to Keith Green's ministry from a cassette recording of "Rushing Wind." Regardless of my background, I recognized the presence and power of God on Keith's ministry.
At the concert, I was initially disappointed to see only a grand piano and a small podium on the large stage. I thought, "Where's the band?"
Keith didn't need a band, a light show or backup singers! The Lord used him to minister to every person in the arena. A great number trusted Jesus as Savior that evening. The love and conviction of Christ was strong as the Holy Spirit touched every heart. I found myself repenting of stuff that had not surfaced until that evening.
It was a truly awesome experience!

OH MY gosh, I just came across your blog about Keith Green, I too remember that day; I was in OK at a Kenneth Hagin Campmeeting. When we heard the news of his death, I just felt so sad ... like we lost a great fearless warrior; who knew how to express the true beauty of worship whenever he sang. Thanks for sharing this and bringing back to memory!
