Nicholas is all boy! At ten months he loves to play with his toys, slide across the floor (army style), laugh at his siblings, attempt to talk, and grin at everyone who makes eye contact.
We've (me) been working on saying "Mommy" since he was born. This is generally how is goes:
Nicholas say, "Daddy"—"Da da"
Say, "Ashley"—"Aa lee"
Say, "Jay Jay"—"Ay ay"
Say, "Colie"—"Ol lie"
Say, "Mommy"—"Da da"
Isn't that just the way things go?!

UUGGHH!!! How frustrating! He will say is soon enough and then that is all you will here. MOMMY!! MOMMY!!! MOMMY!!! That's when you wish they went back to not being able to talk yet! :)
my nicholas did the same exact thing! i have it on video tape of me asking him to say:
daddy- dada
grandpa-papa
tractor-trackty
mommy- daddy
seriously, like over and over and over...no mom, just DAD.
Who gave him birth? It's just not right!
I reminded my kids continually all throughout their lives whenever they forgot about me, "..and I'm the one that gave birth to you!"
Jenn is probably right, too soon you will wish he couldn't say it all day long.
I think your hubby has been training him when you aren't watching.
That is so funny! Isabelle is the SAME way. I whenever I want her to say Mama she says Dada. I thought she just thought it was funny, but it must be a thing with kids!
Is Nicholas walking? it seems like Isabelle went from completely stationary to just about walking in two weeks! I thought she was going to be a late walker....I guess they really do have thier own time tables!
